Lydon Veterinary Centre History
IN FEBRUARY 1987, I set up my veterinary practice in a house in Rough Road, Kingstanding.
Over the last 15 years the practice has grown substantially, due to excellent care of pets and their owners, creating the need for a larger premises with better parking.
We have just moved into our new architect designed centre of excellence, trebling the space we had previously. I had long held the view that expansion as close as possible would be appropriate, and have patiently waited for a suitable property to become available just around the corner, near the police station.
We have now more than 12000 patients, which come in all shapes and sizes ranging from mice to rottweillers, and the new facilities allow us to provide a total health care package ranging from nutritional advice to complex diagnostics and surgery.
We are a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons approved Training Practice for veterinary nurses, ensuring the highest possible standards. All staff members are dedicated to keeping abreast of the latest veterinary advances, and Mr Lydon has just completed a yearlong course in Feline Medicine, assuring all our cats the best care possible.
It is my aim for the Veterinary Centre to remain at the forefront of Pet healthcare in North Birmingham and the new centre offers air conditioning, computerised records, two consulting rooms, pet healthcare room, dedicated preparation and operating room, separate dog and cat recovery wards, combined with the latest equipment all ensure your pet gets the best treatment possible.
